Before you start reading this I want to make a short introduction to the people mentioned here "腐れ雅" (Kusare Miyabi): Kusare Miyabi (a.k.a Masatsugu Kawaguchi 川口雅嗣) is an animator who was active in the 2ch FLASH golden era in his site KILLERKILLER光る, he is best known for having made the "idiot" (a.k.a you are an idiot!) in 2004, the center of the whole investigation Rebirth: Rebirth was a Doujin music artist who was active in muzie and his/her homepage on the years 2002 and 2004, releasing various tracks, the most important tracks here are You ARE the IDIOT!! and You ARE the IDIOT!! 2 oniku1234: Theres no much information about this person, other than be the reuploader of "idiot" on YouTube Evie: The guy who hacked oniku1234's and copyrighted "you are an idiot!" oniku1234/Evie: oniku1234's channel controlled by Evie In the year 2006 a user called oniku1234 would upload a video titled "you are an idiot!" but this is not the first time that this video appears online, theres a whole backstory about this In the year 2004 a 2ch thread titled "you are an idiot!で１０００を目指すスレその２" would appear and as its name says it is a thread for 1000 posts about You are an idiot. In the post 862 a user called "腐れ雅" (Kusare Miyabi) would post the animation in its original SWF file as just an animation for the thread. In his words "暇つぶしで作ったモノです､くだらないです､見る価値無いです､ホント､" It was just a stupid video and 2 years later oniku1234 would upload the animation on YouTube having 21 million views NOTES: The music is made by a Japanese artist called Rebirth which published 2 songs under the names "You ARE the IDIOT!!" and "You ARE the IDIOT!! 2" in muzie and 2ch on 2004, the second part is what we all know. All his/her accounts were deleted in 2007 and theres no new info about Rebirth Clarification: mentalHADRZ is not a production brand and APOCALIPSIS had nothing to do with Rebirth or Miyabi. Neither Evie has to do with the original authors so any "Remastered" versions are fake until Rebirth appears online again
We are gonna make a jump in time from 2006 to April and May 2023. The oniku1234 channel on April was completely inactive until on May 27 2023, where the user called Evie would take the control of the channel putting in the description of oniku1234 "@Evie ~ May 27, 2023". On September 2024, 1 month before the you are an idiot! got copyright, oniku1234's description had the link for Evie's channel, there are no snapshots from October but on November 2024, link disappeared and the channel had no description (oniku1234 was the villain of a bad telled story, I'm sorry oniku1234)
Let's jump to 2026. Kusare Miyabi made a music video titled "Digital Venom" and published the 2 animations You are an idiot 2 and you are an idiot under the names "idiot(official)" and "idiot2(official)" but those 2 videos were taken down by a copyright claim by oniku1234/Evie, only surviving Digital Venom As far I remember they were uploaded on early February 2026 and taken down around 14 March. There was only 1 comment in idiot(official), it was a Japanese guy saying that he hoped this upload could get more views because it is the original In digital venom at minute 0:59 when it says "My mind breaks" in the background it appears a copyright claim reconstructed it would be something like this

Why I made this?I made this because Kusare Miyabi and Rebirth deserve their credit after 22 years of their works being wrong credited. Also I made this because the information was very scattered (as I said in the header) And is fun and interesting spreading and making things related. No seriously, I really find it like that. (Kusare Miyabi is my favourite animator)
How I discovered this?Welp :p is not that (mental)hard(z). I was just watching you are an idiot because is a good song an animation until I released 2ch references on it and oniku1234 in his description says that is from United Kingdom. Then I found the link to the 2ch thread on Nico Nico Douga in a you are an idiot reupload by Nick (THANK YOU NICK FOR LEAVING THE LINK) There were many links and in the amount of them I found it a readed a bit. The rest is history
